An Edwardian mahogany cased mantel timepiece with eight day single fusee movement, the 6-inch silvered circular dial with black Roman hour numerals and detailed 'S. Smith & Son LTD. 9. Strand London. W', the case with moulded surmount above a pair of brass handles and pierced fret panels to front, on a moulded plinth base and brass bracket feet, height 36.5cm, with pendulum. Note: S. Smith & Son(s) are recorded London clockmakers to the Admiralty, working form their Strand address between 1875 and 1918.
