A Second World War period Japanese NCO's katana with earlier curved single-edged blade, blade length 63cm, the tang signed, copper tsuba with engraved decoration of a beetle and bamboo branch, and tape bound fishskin grip with partially hidden crayfish menuki (lacking kashira/pommel), with leather covered wood scabbard with ring suspension.
