A group of four medals, comprising Queen’s Sudan Medal to ‘3210, Sergt F.Walters, 1/Gren’ G’ds:’ (naming to unit weak due to contact wear), Queen’s South Africa Medal with six bars, 'Belmont', 'Modder River', 'Driefontein', 'Johannesburg', 'Diamond Hill' and 'Belfast', with impressed naming to ‘3210 Sejt F.Walters, Gren: Gds:’, King’s South Africa Medal with two bars, 'South Africa 1901' and 'South Africa 1902', with impressed naming to ‘3210 Serjt: F.Walters. Grenadier Guards.’, and Khedive’s Sudan Medal with bar 'Khartoum', with impressed naming to ‘3210. Sergt.F.Walters. Gren. Gds.’, mounted on a bar as worn, with a glazed display box, together with a silver curblink Albert watch chain, fitted with a silver T-bar, a swivel, detailed ‘SS’, and a silver fob medal, detailed ‘To Commemorate Services Rendered in South Africa 1899 to 1902. Presented to Sergt.F.Walters by the Subscribers of Worksop’, a plated three-handled loving cup trophy, detailed ‘Won by Lce Sgt. F.Walters, 1st Gren. Gds, 1st prize Sgts Shooting Comptn Au1897’, glazed to the base, related certificates, a savings bank account, photocopies of related letters and newspaper articles, and a poster-form 'Muster Roll of Officers, NCOs and Men who served in the Soudan Expedition 1898’.
