A group of nine portrait miniatures, mainly late 19th century, depicting subjects in 18th century dress, comprising Miss Catherine Clopton by Cooper; Miss Catharine Clopton; Mademoiselle de Pontchartrain; Miss Corday (possibly Charlotte Corday, noted for her assassination of Marat during the French Revolution); Lady Caroline Lamb, Greenwood; Miss Glover, daughter of John Glover, landscape painter; Miss Constance Hayes, attributed to J.D. England; Miss Harcourt, Greenwood; and Miss Constant Hayes, all watercolour on ivory, oval, various sizes, the largest 11cm x 8.5cm, together with After Guido Reni - St John the Evangelist, oil on ivory, 12cm x 9cm, all within gilt metal frames (10). Note: a non-transferrable ivory exemption certificate has been granted for the sale of these items.
