A fine Second World War period Japanese officer's katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 68cm, the tang finely signed to both sides and with single peg hole piercing, cast bronze tsuba, fabric tape bound fishskin grip with partially hidden flowerhead menuki fitting, fuchi and kabuto-gane pommel, the fuchi with spring loaded scabbard release, with green/brown painted scabbard with single ring suspension.
