A Second World War period Japanese katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 68cm, the tang finely signed to both sides with quality control stamp and single peg hole piercing, part-pierced cast bronze tsuba, fabric tape bound fishskin grip with partially hidden bronze menuki fittings, fuchi and kabuto-gane pommel, with stitched leather covered wood scabbard with lacquered finish.
