Second edition, 4to (303 x 229mm.) Large fold-out geological map of Sussex, hand-coloured lithographed frontispiece, 63 lithographed plates, 2 coloured and 2 double-paged. (Some browning, scattered spotting, hinges with tape reinforcement.) Contemporary buckram (rebacked with original spine laid down, rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: Thomas William Cowan, bee-keeper; G.F. Brazemore (ink name to front-free endpaper).
