A Martin Brothers stoneware commemorative mug, dated 1896, incised with a crest depicting a stork opposing a coat of arms above the motto 'VEQUAM SERVARE MENTEM', within a surround of scrolling foliage enclosing the date '1896', glazed in shades of brown, applied with a loop handle, incised marks and date to base, height 12.8cm. Note: the crest and motto possibly relate to the Fox-Pitt-Rivers family.
