A large Angelo Minghetti Italian maiolica altar figure or group, late 19th century, depicting The Madonna of the Olives, the seated Virgin Mary wearing blue ground floral decorated robes, supporting the Christ child standing on her knee, her tall backed seat with a relief olive branch at the top, on a stepped base painted with a trompe l'oeil runner inscribed Quasi Oliva Speciosa in Campis, blue painted factory mark to reverse, height 62.5cm (some restoration).
