A mid to late 19th century United States Colt police issue .36 five-shot percussion revolver, serial number 3731, with round barrel, barrel length 14cm, detailed 'Address Col Saml. Colt New-York U.S. America', nipple foresight, fluted cylinder, marked 'Pat. Sept. 10th 1853', the frame marked 'Colts patent', brass trigger guard, wood plate grips and hinged-action rammer, matching serial numbers throughout.
