A United States Savage-North Navy second model .36 six-shot percussion revolver with octagonal barrel, barrel length 17.5cm, the top face marked 'Savage R.F.A. Co. Middletown - Ct. H.S. North patented June 17 1856. January 18 1859. May 15 1860', hinged rammer, ring trigger within a swept bow guard, and chequered walnut grips (action faulty part-way through cycle, overall a little worn and tired).
