A Japanese iron tsuba, Edo period, of oval form, damascened with gilt metal and finely decorated with a dragon emerging from the outside within a naturalistic field of bamboo canes, the underside with flowing water and rock formations below a bamboo leaf border, indistinctly signed to the centre, 8 x 8.5cm. Provenance: the collection of the late Roald Knutsen (1933-2025).
