A Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester Japan pattern slop bowl, early 19th century, painted and gilt with a chinoiserie pattern with a pagoda, fretwork fence, flowers and a bird perched amidst branches, impressed mark to base, diameter 17.5cm, together with an unusual cream jug, probably Worcester, painted and gilt with a winged mythical beast opposing a dragon, unmarked, height 11cm, and two other cream jugs (minor faults). A group of Barr Worcester and Flight Barr Worcester Japan pattern wares, early 19th century, richly painted and gilt in Imari colours with a pagoda before a fence with pierced rockwork and birds amidst flowers and foliage, comprising two coffee cans with ring handles, a coffee cup with angular handle, two teacups with angular handles, four saucers, a plate, 24cm diameter, and six plates, 21cm diameter, together with a small group of similarly painted wares with gilt gadrooned rims, comprising a trio, a cup and saucer and a plate, 26.4cm diameter, various incised, impressed and printed marks (faults and restoration). Four small Flight & Barr Worcester candlesticks, early 19th century, two of cylindrical form with curled gilt serpent handles, one painted with a Pyne style peasant figure against a gilt weed ground, the other with a view of a ruined abbey against a gilt vermicular cobalt blue ground, both 8.3cm high, an urn shaped example painted with a ruin against a gilt vermicular cobalt blue ground, height 9.5cm, and the last with square shaped base painted with flowers within a white beaded border, height 6cm, various painted and impressed marks to bases (faults and restoration throughout). A Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester cabinet cup and matched saucer, early 19th century, painted with a rectangular panel depicting Cupid seated in a landscape setting loading his quiver with arrows, flanked by gilt foliate scrollwork between white beaded borders, the gilt handle modelled as an eagle and another bird’s head, raised on gilt paw feet, black painted inscribed mark to base, height 7.4cm (rim restored), the matched saucer with similar gilt detail and beaded bands, unmarked, diameter 13.3cm, together with a two-handled chocolate cup and saucer, painted in a sepia bronze and gilt with classical figures and putti between gilt banding, diameter of saucer 14.4cm, unmarked (minor faults). A Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester rosewater sprinkler, early 19th century, the ovoid body painted with a Pyne style peasant figure opposing scattered flowers, the covered spout gilt with foliate scrollwork and pierced with four holes, with high loop handle and circular foot on a square base, puce painted marks to base, height 10cm, together with three other pieces of Flight & Barr Worcester, comprising a miniature taperstick painted with a peasant figure and gilt with weed, height 3.8cm, a cabinet cup raised on three gilt paw feet painted with a titled view of Bothall (sic) Castle, Northumberland, between white beaded borders, height 7.5cm, and a claret ground pastille burner base, painted with a titled view of Beddgellert (sic) Bridge, N. A Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester cobalt blue ground small dish or plate, early 19th century, painted with a central peacock type fancy bird and another bird in a tree, within gilt framing and a gilt dentil scalloped rim, red printed and impressed marks to base, diameter 20.3cm, together with a blue scale ground Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester plate painted with gilt edged floral panels, impressed mark to base, diameter 23.5cm,  and three Worcester saucers, including one painted in Chinese famille rose exportware style with a bird and butterfly amidst flowers, diameter 13.5cm, and one printed in blue with The Classical Ruins pattern, disguised numeral mark to base, diameter 12.3cm. A Flight Worcester two-handled chocolate cup, cover and stand, late 18th century, painted in underglaze blue and gilt with a wide band of scrolling foliage and flowerheads around an ‘MB’ monogram, underglaze blue script mark to base of cup and stand, diameter of stand 16cm, an oversize mug gilt with an ‘RPI’ monogram flanked by brown and gilt flowers and foliage, unmarked, height 18.7cm, a mixed group of mostly early 19th century English porcelain Japan pattern teawares, including a pair of ring-handled teacups in the Queen Charlotte pattern, and a later lilac ground Staffordshire teacup and saucer printed in black with figural Hancock scenes (faults, repairs and restoration). A pair of Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester two-handled vases, circa 1815-20, of gently flared cylindrical shape with gilt snake handles, painted with titled scenes ‘Near Dolgelly Merionethshire’ and ‘Binstead Cottage, Isle of Wight’, within gilt scroll frames against a pale green ground, raised on square bases, impressed and red script marks to bases, height 10.5cm (some restoration).

Two Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester vases, circa 1815-20, of campana shape with gilt twin snake handles and white beaded rims, both painted with a titled view, the first ‘View on the River Derwent in Borrowdale, Cumberland’, against a pink ground, the second ‘ On the River Esk, Scotland’, against a turquoise ground, both with circular foot and square base, impressed and script marks to bases, heights 13.5cm (restored handles). A mixed group of Flight Barr Worcester tea and coffee cups and cans, early 19th century, including a pair of coffee cans and saucers with white and gilt leaves against an orange ground, four coffee cans and saucers gilt with a pseudo marbled pattern against an apricot ground beneath a gilt key fret rim, a pair of Etruscan shape teacups and saucers gilt with a band of foliate panels against a pale pink ground, a breakfast cup and saucer with cobalt blue and gilt leaves against an orange ground and a pair of cans and saucers gilt with a vermicular pattern, various impressed marks (minor faults). A small group of Barr Worcester wares decorated in the Two Quail pattern, late 18th/early 19th century, Kakiemon style, comprising a teapot, cover and stand, two-handled sugar boat, length 19cm, a single handled circular dish, teacup with ring handle and an oval stand, length 25.5cm, some incised and impressed marks (restoration and minor faults). Two Worcester Rich Queen’s pattern scalloped rim plates, 1780s, painted and gilt in the Imari palette with panels of chinoiserie flowers within blue borders, underglaze blue open crescent mark to bases, diameter 22cm, together with a matching Barr Worcester example, 1790s, diameter 22.3cm. Five Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester Japan pattern plates, circa 1815, each painted and gilt with a standing Chinese figure holding a parasol in a chinoiserie garden within an elaborate Imari patterned rim with stylized foliate scrollwork, various impressed and puce printed marks to bases, three 21.3cm diameter, one 20.6cm diameter and one 24.4cm diameter, together with a Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester saucer dish painted with a similar pattern, diameter 19.8cm. A Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester écuelle, cover and stand, early 19th century, painted and gilt in Chinese style with precious objects and flowers, the écuelle with moulded gilt enriched circular handles, the cover with gilt ring knop, impressed and puce printed marks to bases, diameter of stand 20.3cm, together with a slop bowl painted in gilt enriched green monochrome with a quail pattern, diameter 17.5cm (rim re-gilt). A pair of Worcester The Hundred Antiques pattern blue painted lobed dessert plates, 1770s, in Kangxi style painted with precious objects, blue painted Chinese style marks to bases, diameter 19.2cm, together with a Worcester Old Japan Fan pattern Imari painted plate, circa 1765, with scalloped rim, underglaze blue pseudo Chinese marks to base, diameter 19.3cm, and a matching Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester example (some restoration). A rare Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester Kakiemon plate, early 19th century, painted with a version of the Yellow Tiger pattern within a chocolate brown edged rim, impressed factory mark, diameter 22.8cm. Provenance: The Flight Collection.

A set of four Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester teacups and saucers, early 19th century, each painted and gilt in a Japan pattern with a Chinese figure standing in a chinoiserie garden before a pavilion, within an iron red and gilt scrolling border and gilt gadrooned rim, some impressed marks, diameter of saucers 15.5cm, together with a small group of wares painted in the same pattern with plain gilt rims, comprising two trios and two extra teacups (minor faults). A Barr, Flight & Barr Worcester plate with shaped rim, circa 1800, painted in Chinese style with the Tobacco Leaf pattern, impressed mark, diameter 23cm, together with a smaller Barr Worcester plate painted and gilt with a version of the Tobacco Leaf pattern, incised mark, diameter 17.5cm, and a Flight, Barr & Barr Worcester saucer dish, early 19th century, painted to the centre with a group of shells within an orange and cobalt blue gilt overlaid rim, impressed mark, diameter 20.8cm (later painted).
