A George III mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with subsidiary silvered date dial and rolling moon to arch, above a silvered chapter ring, inscribed 'John Sudaway London', framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds and date aperture, all cornered with cast and pierced gilt spandrels, the hood with moulded arch pediment and brass finials above a glazed door, flanked by brass stop fluted columns, the trunk with arched door above a plain base and plinth, height 223cm, with pendulum and pair of brass cased weights.

A George III oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with silvered chime/silent indicator to arch above a silvered chapter ring framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds, date aperture and applied plaque, inscribed 'Jos Leyton Portsmouth', the hood with moulded pediment and glazed door, the trunk with arched door above a plain base and plinth, height 203.5cm, with pendulum (lacking weights). Note: Joseph Leyton is a recorded clockmaker working in Portsmouth circa 1760 to 1770.

A George III oak longcase clock with thirty hour movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the 11-inch square silvered dial inscribed 'Longhurst Steyning', the hood with glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with rectangular door, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 199cm, with pendulum and weight. Note: Richard Longhurst is a recorded clockmaker working in Steyning circa 1776 to 1784 and then Seaford between 1784 and 1824.

A George III Scottish mahogany bracket clock with eight day twin fusee movement striking hours on a bell, the backplate inscribed 'Tho. Reid Edinburgh', the 8-inch brass breakfront dial with subsidiary date dial, silvered chapter ring and silvered boss to the arch, inscribed 'Tho. Reid Edinburgh', the case with moulded arch pediment and brass carrying handle, above brass pineapple finials and foliate corner columns, glazed front, back and sides, on a moulded plinth base and brass bracket feet, height 47cm, with pendulum, case key and winding key (restoration). Note: Thomas Reid is a recorded Edinburgh clockmaker. Born in 1746, he apprenticed to his cousin James Cowan of Edinburgh in 1762, before leaving to work in London circa 1770 and back to Edinburgh in 1781, when he succeeded James Cowan.

A George III mahogany bracket clock with eight day twin fusee movement striking hours on a bell with pull repeat mechanism, the 8-inch painted circular convex dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'James Reid London', the case with moulded arch pediment and pad top with brass carrying handle, above pierced brass fret panels to front and glazed panels to sides, on a moulded plinth base and brass bracket feet, height 42.6cm, with pendulum, two case keys and winding key. Note: James Reid is a recorded London clockmaker working in Ball Alley pre-1789 to 1824.

A late 20th century inlaid mahogany longcase clock with eight day three train movement chiming and striking quarters on five tubular gongs, the brass breakarch dial with rolling moon to arch and inscribed 'James Stewart Armagh', the arched hood with glazed door and fluted columns, the trunk with glazed door, on bracket feet, height 219cm, with pendulum and three weights.

An impressive Victorian walnut and brass mounted bracket clock with eight day three train movement chiming quarters on four gongs and striking hours on a larger gong, the silvered circular dial with black Roman hour numerals and all striking/silent subsidiary dial, the brass surround with applied foliate scrolls, the case with urn and pineapple finials above a glazed front door, flanked by a pair of caryatid and floral cast corner columns, the sides with pierced and cast fret panels, on a moulded plinth base with foliate scroll feet, height 71cm, with pendulum, winding key and case key.

An impressive Victorian ebonized and brass mounted bracket clock with eight day triple fusee movement chiming quarters on eight bells and striking hours on a gong, the brass arched dial with silvered chime/silent, pendulum regulation and chime selection subsidiary dials to arch above a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minutes, the matt centre with silvered plaque, inscribed 'J & T Foster Manchester', the case with pineapple and urn finials above a glazed front door, flanked by a pair of caryatid and foliate cast corner columns, the sides with pierced and cast fret panels and handles, on a plinth base and cast scroll feet, height 72cm, with pendulum, winding key and case keys.

An early 18th century walnut longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 10-inch square brass dial with foliate engraved centre, the chapter ring with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'Richd Keyte Wittney', cornered with cast and pierced mask and scroll spandrels, the hood with moulded cornice above a glazed door flanked by barleytwist columns, the quarter veneered rectangular trunk door with herringbone banding, on a similarly decorated base and bracket feet, height 199.5cm, with pendulum and two weights (restoration). Note: Richard Keyte is a recorded clockmaker working in Witney, Oxon, circa 1702 to 1770.

A late 17th/early 18th century marquetry inlaid walnut longcase clock, the eight day movement striking on a bell via an internal countwheel, the 12-inch square brass dial with silvered chapter ring, inscribed 'WM Speakman Junr, Old Street London', framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds dial, ringed winding holes, date aperture and oval panel, inscribed 'Richard Vincent', all cornered with cast and pierced putto and orb spandrels, the case with all-over floral marquetry including flowers, birds and urn, the hood with caddy top and three brass finials above a glazed door and columns, inlaid with flowers, the rectangular trunk door with glazed circular lenticle and cross grain mouldings, on a plinth base, height 230cm, with pendulum and two weights (restoration). Note: William Speakman (II) is a recorded London clockmaker, apprenticed to his father William Speakman (I) in 1688 and working from his Old Street address.

A George III provincial oak longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 12-inch silvered breakarch dial with subsidiary seconds and date aperture, inscribed 'William Nash Bridge' to arch, the hood with brass finials, glazed door and fluted columns, the trunk with arched door, on a plain base and plinth, height 231cm, with pendulum and two weights. Note: William Nash is a recorded Kent clockmaker working in Bridge in 1759 before going into partnership with his brother, John Nash, from 1762 to 1769 and then working alone until his death in 1794.

An early 19th century oak and crossbanded mahogany longcase clock with eight day movement striking on a bell, the 13-inch circular painted dial with Arabic hour numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, the hood with swan neck pediment and fluted columns, the trunk with arched door flanked by cluster corner columns, on a panelled base and bracket feet, height 216cm, with pendulum and two weights.

Simms Chipping Norton', the hood with moulded pediment, glazed door and turned columns, the trunk with rectangular door, on a plain base and plinth, height 184.5cm, with pendulum and brass cased weight. Note: Samuel Simms is a recorded Oxon clockmaker working in Chipping Norton from 1790 to 1869, son of John Simms (II).

Granville Devonport', the arched hood with turned finials, glazed door and columns, the arched trunk door flanked by a pair of reeded cut corner columns, on a plain base and bracket feet, height 219cm, with pendulum and two weights. Note: Samuel Granville is a recorded Devon clockmaker working at Fore Street, Devonport, Plymouth.

A Victorian burr walnut stick barometer, the arched dial with vernier scale and inscribed 'Lennie St Edinburgh', the arched case with bevelled glass panel above a mercury thermometer to trunk and turned circular cistern cover, length 93cm.

An Art Deco oak longcase clock with three train movement chiming and striking on gongs, the 12-inch brass circular dial with Arabic hour numerals, the dome top case with carved foliate decoration and glazed door, height 188cm, with pendulum and three weights.

A mid-18th century green and gilt chinoiserie japanned longcase clock with eight day three train movement chiming quarters on a nest of eight bells and striking hours on a larger bell, the 12-inch brass breakarch dial with silvered boss to arch, inscribed 'Sam Bradley Worcester', above a silvered chapter ring framing a matt centre with silvered subsidiary seconds and date aperture, all cornered with cast and pierced gilt spandrels, the case with all-over gilt chinoiserie decoration, the hood with caddy top and three giltwood ball finials, above a glazed arched door and columns, the arched trunk door on a moulded plinth base and bun feet, height 264cm, with pendulum and three brass cased weights. Note: Samuel Bradley is a recorded clockmaker working in Worcester from 1728 until his death in 1783.
