Glassware

A pair of Kralik iridescent glass vases, circa 1930, the tapered bodies of pale colour with wavy rims, both applied with a pair green claws or long teardrops, height 12.5cm. Provenance: from the collection of the late Graham and Rhiannon Berridge.

Six clear glass posy vases, in the style of Stevens and Williams, late 19th century, of moulded cup form with green trailed rims beneath looped pulled mouths, height of tallest 10.5cm, together with an opalescent amberina type squat small vase, height 3.5cm, and a small group of other glassware, including four large wines and a circular box and cover by Heinrich Hoffman. A Thomas Webb & Sons Bristol Blue decanter and stopper, 20th century, height 21.5cm, a similar larger example with trailed neck and disc stopper, height 28cm, six other pieces of Thomas Webb blue and green glass and a small group of other glassware, including a pair of double lipped rinsers, engraved with fruiting vine. A cut glass jar and cover, 19th century, of ovoid shape with strawberry diamond panels, on a square foot, height 26.5cm, together with two pairs of spirit decanters and stoppers, two glass rinsers, a pair of oval bowls and other cut glassware (minor faults). A faceted stem wine glass, mid-18th century, the ogee bowl engraved with flowers and foliage above a cut lower bowl and faceted centrally knopped stem, on a conical foot, height 15cm, together with a similar faceted stem wine engraved with a bird in flight opposing a spray of flowers and foliage, height 14.5cm. Provenance: the property of Michael Godfrey.

A Pinchbeck faceted glass paperweight, 19th century, depicting a figural pastoral scene, diameter 8cm.

A pair of globe and shaft engraved decanters and stoppers, late 19th century, each with a band of fruiting vine above oval facets, the hexagonally faceted necks with a single ring beneath the engraved stoppers, height 30cm, together with a similarly engraved pair of mallet shape, height 30cm, and a group of other mostly fruiting vine engraved glassware, including two pairs of carafes, an Art Deco style decanter and stopper and various wines. An Art Deco enamelled glass decanter set, each piece decorated with fighting cockerels at various stages of their fight, comprising a decanter shaker and cover, height 24cm, a circular tray, diameter 26.8cm, and four glasses, together with a similar set of six glasses, another cocktail shaker and cover, enamelled with a white cockerel, and a cocktail measure, enamelled with two pigs. A pair of clear cut glass table lustres, early 20th century, the baluster stems cut with circular facets beneath trumpet necks, hung with ten prismatic drops, height 28cm, together with a similar later pair, height 30cm.

An Art Deco style decanter and stopper, the textured frosted body of conical shape, decorated in silver overlay with a female nude riding an ibex, beneath a silver collar and flattened disc stopper, height 30cm, together with a smoky glass Art Deco cocktail shaker and stopper, engraved with fighting cocks, and four other decanters and stoppers. A Baccarat style two-branch candelabrum with a pair of matching candlesticks, first half of 20th century, the hexagonal baluster stems with scalloped edge drip trays, hung with prismatic drops, height of candelabrum 40cm, height of candlesticks 29.5cm (minor faults).

Five Waterford Crystal horse models, comprising one mounted with a jockey, Caring Spirit, which is a mare and foal, Free Spirit, which is a running horse, and Bold Spirit, a rearing horse, with some certificates.

Twenty-two glass paperweights, including two limited edition Selkirk paperweights, comprising Emerald Star, 84/500, and Moonstone, 181/500, two further Selkirk examples, Whitefriars and Mdina.

A set of four gold threaded over cranberry glass finger bowls and stands, probably Stevens & Williams, late 19th century, each with a frill rim, diameter of stands 15.5cm, together with two matching finger bowls, a set of ten similar finger bowls or rinsers with threaded jewelled decoration, diameter 10.3cm, and five other threaded finger bowls. Two iridescent studio Glasform vases by John Ditchfield, both with scattered millefiori and haphazard multicoloured striations against a mother-of-pearl cracked ice ground, engraved marks to bases, height 20cm and 13.3cm. Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.

An Etruscan style glass vase, in the manner of Richardsons, mid-19th century, of baluster shape with double-ringed neck and flared rim, printed with three classical figures between geometric banding, unmarked, height 40.5cm, together with a pair of alabaster opaque white glass vase with enamelled decoration, height 26.5cm, another pair, decorated with a gilt horizontal foliate band, height 25.5cm, and a similar single example, height 26cm. An Art Deco glass vase by Marcel Goupy, circa 1925, the bulbous body thickly enamelled with three orange hunter centaurs between black and gilt bands against a mottled green/blue and yellow ground, black painted mark to base, height 18cm (cracked), together with a Louis Comfort Tiffany glass vase (riveted) and three other pieces (faults). A Whitefriars tangerine orange nailhead vase, designed by Geoffrey Baxter, height 17cm, two Whitefriars bark textured vases, in orange, height 15cm, and ruby, height 19cm, a kingfisher blue Whitefriars bubble control lobed vase, height 21.3cm, and a Whitefriars amber glass vase.
