Glassware

A mixed group of flashed and cut glass, 20th century, comprising a blue flashed footed specimen vase, height 21cm, two other blue flashed vases, tallest 20.5cm, green flashed decanter and stopper, green flashed vase, two amber flashed vases and an amethyst flashed vase, together with a small group of similar Bohemian flashed, engraved and cut glass, including a ruby flashed spa beaker, a footed vase and a decanter (some faults). A group of Rowland Ward and similar glassware, circa 1970, from the Safari or Big Game series, engraved with various animals, some with acid etched marks, comprising three decanters and two stoppers, two water jugs, tallest 26cm, a circular bowl, diameter 22cm, six wines, height 14cm, six tumblers and twelve small cocktail glasses. A pair of Art Deco style black enamelled and cut glass candlesticks, probably Czechoslovakian, 20th century, of tapered square column shape cut with a geometric design, unmarked, height 25.3cm, together with a small group of similar Art Deco and Art Deco style glass, including a ruby flashed and silvered cocktail shaker and stopper of faceted cylindrical shape, three decanters and two stoppers of faceted form with flashed and cut decoration, a similar decanter and stopper with silvered edges engraved with fruiting vine, height 23cm, a smoky glass decanter and stopper silvered with scrolls and trellis, and a mix of matched shot and cocktail glasses (minor faults). An Orrefors Thousand Windows pattern glass vase, designed by Simon Gate, engraved mark to base 'GA 395/9', height 15.5cm, a Simon Gate vase of flared wrythen shape, height 18cm, a Kosta optic moulded flared circular bowl by Warff, diameter 21cm, and a mix of mostly Scandinavian glass vases, including an Orrefors example engraved with a female nude, height 25.5cm, a Kosta vase by Warff of rectangular shape cut with two rows of abstract diamonds, height 20.5cm, and a number of Strömbergshyttan pieces. A Kralik Punched Range gilt and enamelled glass bowl, early 20th century, with a Secessionist design to the interior against a pastel green iridescent ground, height 8.5cm, together with a pair of iridescent pink Kralik punched range bowls, height 9.5cm, a similar pair of mother-of-pearl iridescent glass vases, height 11cm, a Kralik Harlequin Opalescent glass spatter vase, height 16cm, three Art Deco Ernst Steinwalk orange ground stepped spatter glass vases, height 18cm, and a small group of other mostly iridescent glass, including Kralik (minor faults). A pair of cut and engraved clear glass decanters and stoppers, early 20th century, decorated with oval panels depicting flowers of the union, height 32cm, a pair of hobnail cut decanters and stoppers, a pair of conical shaped decanters and stoppers, a pair of decanters and stoppers engraved with stylized foliate garlands, height 32cm, and eleven other decanters and ten stoppers (some faults). A large mixed group of craquelure ice glass, 19th and 20th century, mainly Continental, in a variety of colours and shapes, including a blue glass jar and cover, height 21cm, a large shaded green campana shaped vase, height 25.3cm, three amberina type jugs and a similar beaker, two pale green uranium jugs, a blue ice bucket with ring handles, height 15.5cm, and a flared vase with multicoloured splashes of colour. A Murano glass Fazzoletto vase in the style of Venini, post-war, of handkerchief shape with white vertical stripes of zanfirico threads, unmarked, height 11.5cm, together with a similar squat vase with alternate zanfirico and twisted black and aventurine threads, height 9cm, and seven other similar pieces, comprising four shot glasses, a two-handled vase of blue and white detail, height 10cm, a footed bowl and a green, blue and aventurine striped vase. A Murano glass goblet, probably Salviati, early 20th century, the moulded ogee bowl with copper aventurine inclusions, raised on a blown stem and moulded foot, height 11cm, together with a small glass jug with millefiori cane detail, height 7.8cm, a diminutive marbled glass vase, height 8cm, two small Murano vases with stripes of orange, red and white colour, tallest 11cm, and two models of mice. A pair of satin glass vases, late 19th century, probably Stourbridge, gilt and enamelled with opposing birds on spiky, leafy branches, the rims with gilt ground white dotted borders, height 22cm, painted numerals and letters to bases, together with a pair of Thomas Webb & Sons cream glass vases gilt with butterflies amidst prunus and pine, painted 'V257' to bases, height 26cm, a pale blue shaded satin glass vase gilt in the manner of Jules Barbe, and a similar pair of shaded pink glass vases gilt with insects amidst flowers and foliage, height 14.5cm. An Orrefors wave cut flared circular bowl, designed by Simon Gate, raised on a small black foot, engraved marks to base with numerals '400/8', diameter 30.3cm, together with a similar vase with wave cut detail on a black foot, engraved mark 'Of 1934', height 22.3cm, a bowl cut with concentric circles beneath a dentil rim, on a black foot, unmarked, diameter 26cm, a Vicke Lindstrand Orrefors vase raised on a black foot, height 25.8cm, another Simon Gate black footed bowl, an Orrefors vase with cut decoration, probably designed by Olle Alberius, height 19.5cm, and an Orrefors optic moulded globular vase, probably designed by Edward Hald, height 15.5cm. "A Daum clear glass vase of pale yellow tint, mid to second half 20th century, of fluted flared flowerhead shape, engraved mark to side edge of base 'Daum France' with the Cross of Lorraine, height 15.5cm, together with two pieces of Art Vannes clear glass, the first a vase with a pair of vertical moulded 'fins', height 18cm, the second a fan shaped bowl of lobed form, length 34cm, together with a Bayer Cristal clear centrepiece bowl of pulled abstract shape, length 52cm. A mixed group of mostly Continental glass, post-war, including a Pasabahce vase in Venini style with spirals of alternate blue and white threads, raised on a clear glass circular foot beneath the abstract rim, engraved mark to base, height 29cm, a similar smaller bottle vase with blue threads, height 18cm, two white thread bottle vases, tallest 15.3cm, two Peill & Putzler vases, one with polished oval 'windows' against a frosted ground, an Ingrid glass Brutalist type solifleur vase, height 15cm, and a clear glass flared cylindrical vase with spirals of trailed horizontal lime green threads, height 24.5cm. A Moser style Art Deco green tinted glass bowl, first half 20th century, of flared faceted form on a faceted foot, unmarked, diameter 28.5cm, together with a group of similar glass of faceted Art Deco style, including two green tinted vases, one of brown tint, a smoky tinted vase engraved with geometric motifs, height 16cm, a Val St. Lambert style hooped clear vase, height 23cm, and a clear jar and cover (some faults). Three small Art Deco Argy-Rousseau glass plates, 1920s, of green tint enamelled with orange fish amidst silvered waves, silvered mark to undersides, diameter of each 12.7cm. Provenance: from the collection of John and Poppy Stallebrass.

A set of five Webb finger bowl rinsers, early 20th century, each with a spiral of green thread against a clear threaded ground, acid etched mark to bases, diameter 14.3cm, together with an Arts & Crafts style clear glass decanter and stopper, the body applied with green teardrop decoration, the neck and stopper with applied green dots, unmarked, height 30cm, and a small group of other Arts & Crafts style glass, including an opalescent Powell type vaseline glass bowl of wavy circular shape with spiral threaded detail, length 24cm, a straw opalescent vase with crimped rim, height 20cm, an iridescent glass bowl with moulded spiral detail and a lobed clear glass bowl (minor faults). A Caithness Flower In The Rain glass paperweight, two Mdina glass paperweights, one in the form of a seahorse, two Liskeard paperweights, two Wedgwood paperweights, in the form of an apple and a bird, a Strathearn paperweight, a soda glass paperweight with internal bubble decoration and two other paperweights, together with an iridescent Okra glass vase, dated 1992, height 20cm, an Isle of Wight iridescent glass vase, height 16.3cm, and a glass vase with trailed blue detail. A large Stevens & Williams 'jewelled' glass vase of 'zipper' design, late 19th century, of amber tint with faint cranberry striations, unmarked, height 19cm, a Stevens & Williams Royal Brierley pink threaded glass vase with subtle diamond moulded detail, height 20cm, and four other pieces of glass, comprising a jug and bowl with yellow, cranberry and white spirals of colour, a square shaped jug with green wavy horizontal detail, height 20cm, and a tazza with pale blue threaded combed detail, height 15.5cm. "An unusual Webb glass decanter and stopper and three matching glasses, probably 1930s, each engraved with clown puppets, acid etched mark to bases, height of decanter 21cm, together with a small group of enamelled glass, comprising a Stuart serving bowl with crocus, diameter 20.5cm, a pair of Stuart sundae dishes with thistles, a decanter and stopper with figures representing playing card suits on horseback, a decanter with branches of apples, a Stuart Diablo pattern decanter and stopper decorated with a devil and a large jug and matching glass decorated with huntsman on horseback and hounds, height of jug 27cm (minor faults).
