A collection of 19th and 20th century medals to the Tyrrell family, comprising a Victoria Empress of India Medal, unnamed as issued, with the original box, an Abyssinia Medal to 'Lieut F.H.Tyrrel 3rd Regt Bombay.N.I' (the suspension fitting repaired), a dress miniature Abyssinia Medal (the suspension repaired), with a box, an India General Service Medal with bar 'Punjab Frontier 1897-98', with engraved naming to 'Lieut G.E.Tyrell, R.A.' (official correction to A of his unit), a ribbon bar, two commission documents relating to Francis Hardinge Tyrrell to be a Captain in the Army and to be a Major Land Forces, a later group of five Second World War medals, believed to be awarded to James Graeme Tyrrell, comprising 1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal and War Medal, unnamed as issued, mounted on a ribbon bar with the five corresponding dress miniature medals also mounted on a ribbon bar, two silver sporting medallions, detailed 'Malaya Command 1933 and 1935', two further silver fob medals, one dated 1933, the other 1935, with two boxes, a group photograph, a copy of the family tree and sundry.
