A Second World War period Japanese katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 62cm, the unsigned tang with double peg hole piercings, cast bronze tsuba, tape bound fishskin grip with hidden cast bronze flowerhead menuki fitting, fuchi and kabuto-gane pommel, the fuchi with spring loaded scabbard release, with later black painted scabbard with single ring suspension (scabbard distressed and bruised overall).
