A 19th century Japanese katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 66cm, the unsigned tang with double peg hole piercings, pierced and decorated oval steel tsuba, fabric tape bound fishskin grip, gilt metal fuchi and kashira pommel cap, decorated with stylized birds, with part-woven fabric bound lacquered wood scabbard.
