A Second World War period Japanese katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 67cm, the signed tang with single peg hole piercing, gilt cast bronze tsuba, fabric tape bound fishskin grip with partially hidden gilt flowerhead menuki, fuchi and kabuto-gane pommel, the fuchi with spring loaded scabbard release, with brown painted metal and gilt metal applied scabbard with single ring suspension, and a later black cotton slip case bag.
