British and Continental Ceramics

A collection of fourteen assorted coffee or tea cups and saucers, late 19th and 20th Century, British and Continental, including a Royal Crown Derby Japan pattern example, dated 1904, pattern No. 3788, diameter of saucer 10.7cm, a Meissen example painted and gilt with a band of flowers and foliage beneath a cobalt blue and gilt rim, diameter of saucer 11cm, one by Royal Worcester, dated 1880, with Japanese Mon type decoration in underglaze blue, a gilt lined can and saucer with cobalt blue ground, a Cauldon trio and a blue printed example with trembleuse saucer, together with a Royal Crown Derby cake plate decorated with floral groups, a Coalport tureen stand and three other pieces (faults).

An unusual porcelain ewer and stand (Pot à l'eau à la Romaine), probably Sèvres, late 18th/early 19th century, both pieces moulded in high relief with naturalistically painted bulrush leaves and coral like branches against a cobalt blue ground, the ewer painted with a panel of birds and with white and gilt branch like handle, its hinged lid similarly moulded and with pewter mounted shell shaped thumbrest above the gilt dentil rim edges, the oval stand with overlapping detail beneath the shaped rim with gilt dentil edge, painted with two bird panels around a central panel of painted shells and coral, both pieces overall outlined with gilding, blue painted interlaced 'L's' mark to base of each piece, stand with collector's label inscribed 'Coleccion SANTARELLI Buenos Ayres', length of stand 23cm, height of ewer 14cm.

A Rouen faience vase and cover, 20th century, the lobed high shouldered body painted in 18th century style with baskets of flowers and pendant flowers and scrollwork, the domed cover with bird finial, painted marks to base, height 50cm, together with two 20th century Dutch Delft vases and covers in 18th century style, painted marks to bases, 45cm and 34cm high (minor faults).

A group of twenty Decoro pottery vases, 1920s, primarily with dark ground and Art Nouveau style flower and bird decoration, including vases, bowls and planters, largest vase 28cm high, together with a Decoro pottery rabbit covered in a mottled pale blue glaze, height 9.5cm.
