John Drayton Wyatt and George Gilbert Scott - 'Pippbrook House, Dorking', 19th century monochrome ink with watercolour, inscribed verso, 24cm x 33cm, within a gilt frame. Provenance: the property of Donald Church. Note: this is probably the drawing exhibited by Gilbert Scott's draughtsman John Drayton Wyatt at the Royal Academy in 1858, cat no. 1057 with the title 'The New Museum at Pippbrook House, Dorking, etc'. Attracting passing reviews in the press, The Art Journal stated, 'Mr. J. D. Wyatt exhibits a clever and effective drawing of Pippbrook House, near Dorking.' References: The Art Journal, (James S.
