Firearms and Edged Weapons

A late 18th/early 19th century flintlock blunderbuss with typical flared steel barrel, barrel length 40.5cm, engraved 'London' to the face edge, and plain shaped lock, full-stocked with brass furniture and pull-out steel ramrod (full and half-lock mechanism works, overall old restoration but clean throughout).

An early 19th century 'Kentucky' style half-stock percussion rifle by W. Turr, with front and rear-sighted octagonal steel barrel, barrel length 97cm, line border engraved and foliate decorated locks and hammer, and double-set trigger, full-stocked in walnut with brass furniture and pull-out wood ramrod (action works, overall a clean gun).

An early 19th century model 1809 Prussian Potsdam percussion musket, probably converted from flint,  with front and rear-sighted steel barrel, barrel length 94cm, plain lock, indistinctly signed, and hammer, full-stocked with steel furniture and pull-out steel ramrod (full and half-lock mechanism works, some later cleaning).

A late 18th century European flintlock musket, possibly Dutch, with part-round and part-octagonal sighted steel barrel, barrel length 108cm, and shaped steel lock, full-stocked with brass furniture with engraved decoration, and pull-out wood ramrod (full and half-lock mechanism works).

An interesting late 19th century later-converted breech-loading Martini-Henry rifle with front and rear ladder-sighted barrel, barrel length 69cm, and shortened lever action (action defective, overall alterations).

A late 19th century Snider-Enfield artillery carbine with front and rear-sighted barrel, barrel length 55cm, lock with crowned 'VR' cypher and lock percussion action, marked 'Tower', full-stocked with brass furniture and pull-out steel cleaning rod, with associated canvas sling.

A mid to late 18th century flintlock hunting rifle, probably German, with front-sighted part-round steel barrel with silver and brass inlaid decoration, barrel length 72cm, finely engraved lock and hammer, decorated with trophies of arms and foliate motifs, full-stocked in walnut with brass furniture and unusual carved all-in-one integral wood trigger guard, and brass-tipped ebonized pull-out ramrod, with associated leather sling (full and half-lock mechanism working, overall a clean gun).

An early 19th century percussion sporting gun by Charles Osborne, with sighted steel barrel, barrel length 79.5cm, line border engraved and foliate decorated lock and hammer, full-stocked with brass-tipped wood ramrod (full and half-lock mechanism working, overall a clean gun).

A Second World War period British Swift training rifle with applied manufacturer's plate, detailed 'The Swift Training Rifle, 9B/1588, Series B 1597', with bolt action and spring-loaded trigger action, overall length 118cm (appears to be in working order).

A mid-19th century J.R. Cooper patent six-shot percussion pepperbox revolver with fluted steel barrels, barrel length 7.5cm, lock with all-over finely engraved foliate decoration, ring-trigger action and walnut plate grips (action part-defective).

A late 18th century flintlock pocket pistol by Mortimer, London, with turn-off steel barrel, barrel length 2.7cm, box shaped lock, engraved with trophies of arms and foliate designs, sliding safety, spring-loaded trigger and wood grip.

A late 18th century flintlock pocket pistol by Cowper, with turn-off steel barrel, barrel length 6cm, box-shaped lock with flower garland decoration and prick-marked borders, sliding safety and wood grip.

An early 19th century New Land pattern flintlock service pistol with steel barrel, barrel length 23cm, border line engraved lock and hammer, the lock with crowned 'GR' and marked 'Tower', full-stocked in walnut with brass furniture, steel lanyard ring, steel captive ramrod and sprung steel catch.

A scarce mid to late 19th century walking stick gun with two-section body, tole painted to simulate wood, with small front and rear sights, button trigger, removable brass screw ferrule and later offset horn handle, overall length 94.5cm (action appears to be seized).

Two mid to late 19th century British Minié socket bayonets with triangular-section fullered blades, blade lengths 42cm and 40cm (some damage to tips, some old cleaned rust and recent active rust).

A French model 1822 light cavalry sword with curved single-edged fullered blade, blade length 87.5cm, with crowned king's head mark, cast brass triple-bar hilt, later woven grip and knot, with steel scabbard (overall heavy restoration, old cleaning, later grip).

A rare First World War period push dagger in the manner and pattern of Robbins of Dudley, with double-edged flattened oval-section double-fullered spear-shaped blade, blade length 12cm, cast alloy moulded handgrip and shaped steel guard, with leather scabbard with securing belt loop strap and brass stud fitting.

An 1822 pattern Grenadier Guards officer's levee sword by E. Smith, 5 Boyle St, Saville Row, with straight dumbbell-section blade, blade length 82cm, finely etched with battle honours, 'GRV' cypher and grenade motif, the back numbered '13734', gothic hilt with pierced decoration and regimental badge, and wire bound fishskin grip, with stitched leather covered scabbard.

A Second World War period Japanese NCO's katana with curved single-edged blade, blade length 65cm, the tang unsigned, cast bronze oval tsuba with chased borders of floral decoration, leather bound fishskin grip and decorated kabuto-gane, with leather covered wood scabbard with brass suspension.
