A Japanese iron tsuba, probably mid to late 16th century, of circular form, finely pierced with a cherry blossom flower, unsigned, diameter 7cm. Provenance: the collection of the late Roald Knutsen (1933-2025).

A Japanese iron tsuba, Edo period, of oval form, damascened with gilt metal and finely decorated with a dragon emerging from the outside within a naturalistic field of bamboo canes, the underside with flowing water and rock formations below a bamboo leaf border, indistinctly signed to the centre, 8 x 8.5cm. A Japanese iron tsuba, Edo period, of shaped square lobed form, damascened with a dragon three-dimensionally clawing its way around the outer edge, as if appearing to tear through clouds, unsigned, 7.5cm x 8.5cm, within a later presentation box. A small collection of Japanese sword fittings, Edo period, including a small bronze tsuba of shaped thick oval form, 4.5cm x 5.5cm, a fine iron tsuba of shaped oval form with gilt and white metal inlaid floral decoration, unsigned, 3.5cm x 5cm, and a finely decorated shakudo fuchi fitting, length 3.7cm, within a later display box.
