Henri Bénard - Head and Shoulders Portrait of a Girl identified as Aliette de Pigeard, oil on canvas, signed and dated Janvier 1904, 59.5cm x 49cm, within a Louis XIV style gilt composition frame. Note: Aliette de Pigeard (1897-1969) married Pedro de Prat, Marquis de Nantouillet, a Spanish ambassador. Their daughter Isabel Maria became Baroness von Trauttenberg. Aliette's first marriage was annulled by Pope Pius and she went on to marry a Swiss aristocrat, Jean de Bavier.

She later married William Cavendish-Bentinck, Marquess of Titchfield. Her uncle was Charles Henry Gordon-Lennox, 7th Duke of Richmond and Lennox, 2nd Duke of Gordon.
