A Victorian ebonized bracket clock with eight day twin fusee movement striking hours and half hours on a gong, the backplate signed 'Barraud & Lunds 14 Bishops Gate within Cornhill, London' and numbered '7275', the 6½-inch silvered breakarch dial with subsidiary pendulum regulation to arch, strike/silent lever to side, black Roman hour numerals and foliate scrolls, signed 'Barraud & Lunds London 7275', the arched case with lacquered brass handle above a moulded pediment, glazed front and back doors and lacquered brass pierced scale fret panels, on a moulded plinth base, height 38cm, with pendulum. Note: Barraud & Lunds was the final iteration of one of Britain's finest clockmaking firms of the 19th century. The partnership of the Barraud family and John Richard Lund was founded in 1838. In 1869 Lund's two sons joined the firm, becoming Barraud & Lunds.
