FOOTBALL PROGRAMMES. A group of nine programmes, all pre-1950, comprising 1940 Crystal Palace vs Arsenal; 1940 Crystal Palace vs Queens Park Rangers; 1940 Fulham vs Everton; 1940 Sheffield Wednesday vs Leeds United; 1940 Sheffield Untied vs Grimsby Town; 1940 Chesterfield vs Nottingham Forest; 1941 Aldershot vs Tottenham Hotspur (London Football War League); 1945 Chelsea vs Everton; and 1946 Charlton Athletic vs Everton.

CRICKET SCORECARDS. A group of eight cricket scorecards for Sussex vs various teams, including Australia and India, all circa 1951-1953, five with ink or pencil entries.

PHOTOGRAPHS. An album titled on the upper cover 'A Cruise to the West Indies', containing approximately 77 black and white photographs, most 11.5cm x 16cm, including photographs captioned 'Madeira', 'Tobago', 'Trinidad', 'Jamaica', 'St Kitts', 'St Lucia', 'Grenada' and 'Post Office, Casablanca'.

PHOTOGRAPHS. An album titled on the upper cover 'P & O Chusan Cruise' containing approximately 278 black and white photographs, circa 1960s, the majority 11.5cm x 16cm on leaves 30.5cm x 38cm, including views of Aden, Bombay, Penang, Singapore, Bermuda, Manila, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Vancouver, Panama and views on board the ship.

AUTOGRAPHS. A 7 line hand-written letter by George Bernard Shaw on 'Queen's Hotel, Manchester' headed writing paper, dated Dec 1918, 20.5cm x 12cm, Shaw writes 'Dear Madam, All my election readings are in the provinces. I presume you do not wish to travel a hundred miles to see me'. He goes on to say that he might be speaking for Dr. Haden-Guest in London at a future date, together with a further 35 line letter, typed and signed by J.B. Priestley regarding objections to his distaste for semi-detached houses which 'make London so big it takes a day to get out of it'.

PHOTOGRAPHS. An album of 48 photographs measuring 13.5 x 8cm, relating to Kenya, circa 1911, including several of Kenyans in tribal and military dress, a photograph of Roosevelt's camp, colonial residences in 'Fort Hall' (Murang'a), topographical views of Mount Kenya and the Chania Falls, all captioned in ink on the mount, together with a further 15 photographs of Kenyan scenes loosely inserted.

MANUSCRIPT. An early typed draft by Clemence Dane of the film script for 'Jamaica Inn', directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and based on the novel by Daphne du Maurier, 188pp. dated 1st July 1938, leaves 32.5cm x 20cm, and typed on recto with 1p. hand-drawn plan of 'Jamaica Inn'. Note: 'Clemence Dane' was the pseudonym of Winifred Ashton, screenwriter and novelist. Winifred had written the screenplay for 'Anna Karenina' starring Greta Garbo in 1935. However, she wasn't credited with the writing of 'Jamaica Inn'. The writing was attributed to Joan Harrison, Sidney Gilliat, Alma Reville and J.B. Priestley. Starring Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara the film was released in 1939. Soon afterwards Hitchcock left for America but was to direct two more films based on the work of du Maurier. Provenance: by family repute, from the estate of Marius Goring, actor. Together with a further typed and bound screenplay by Clemence Dane and Sergei Nolbandov ('Kean').

PHOTOGRAPHS. - A collection of early 20th century photographs in eleven albums, mostly snapshot-size, the majority British topographical views or of social history interest, including some of Sussex and Hampshire, others of general family life and occasional holidays and one of Lord Brassey's Yacht Sunbeam off Hastings.

OPTICAL TOY. A group of 19th century Fantascope discs, comprising a set of six hand-coloured discs and their original slip folder by T.T. Bury, published by Ackermann & Co, diameter of discs 24cm, the interior printed with instructions dated 1833, together with ten smaller discs, mostly hand-coloured, diameters 18cm, and a Compass Navigating disc, diameter 13cm (lacking handle).

ACCOUNT BOOK. The account book of Lieutenant Streatfield, dated 1843-1854, comprising 143pp. of hand-written accounts, mainly relating to 'wages', 'waste-paper', 'pigeons', 'police', 'cabs' and 'lawn billiards' and signed off by a 'John Enock' with a 24pp. 'Wine Account' to the rear, leaves 17.5cm x 11.5cm, bound in vellum with a bronze clasp and boss.

PHOTOGRAPHS & EPHEMERA. An album containing numerous amateur drawings and prints, leaves, 22cm x 26.5cm, together with two handmade slides of planets dated 1868, cabinet and cartes-de-visite photographs.

PHOTOGRAPHS. A sepia-toned carbon print photograph by C.S. Addison titled 'Awa o'er yonder', 20.5cm x 15cm, within a faux wood frame, together with a collection of other photographs, including a cased ambrotype.

EPHEMERA & PHOTOGRAPHS. A collection of cartes-de-visite and cabinet-size photographs, scrap albums containing some photographs, and photograph album leaves with chromolithographed surrounds.

PHOTOGRAPHS. A large collection of over 250 photographic stereoscopic viewing cards, including topographical views of Britain, Continental Europe and America, together with a 'Perfecscope' stereo viewer by Underwood & Underwood.

PHOTOGRAPHS. A leather-bound album containing approximately 276 mounted albumen-print photographs, including views of Chester, Ringwood, Henley, Horses; the photographs various sizes 21cm x 17cm to 10cm x 6.5cm.

PHOTOGRAPHS. A collection of approximately 100 mid/late 19th century stereoscopic viewing cards, the majority views in Britain and Continental Europe, all contained within a single walnut box with divided interior.

GAME. A hand-coloured engraved game 'Wallis's Elegant and Instructive Game exhibiting the Wonders of Art, in Each Quarter of the World', circa 1810, printed in 12 sections and backed onto linen, overall 47cm x 62cm, folding within a card slipcase.

PHOTOGRAPHS. An album containing approximately 147 mounted albumen-print photographs, late 19th century, leaves 37cm x 24.5 cm mostly topographical, military or of social history interest, possibly compiled by Lt. Col. Bernard Arthur Warry of Somerset, including photographs of the South Wales Borderers, a residency in Lucknow and Ratighat Camp in India, together with another album of similar interest.
