PRINTS. Three Joseph Farington hand-coloured aquatints titled ‘View of Chelsea & Battersea from East Wandsworth’, ‘View of Lambeth from Milbank’ and ‘View up the River from Milbank’, published 1995 by Boydell, each sheet size 29cm x 42cm, together with a collection of 18th, 19th and 20th century prints, maps and ephemera, the majority relating to London. EPHEMERA. A collection of prints and ephemera, the majority plates and illustrations from magazines and books relating to London, contained within eight folders. Provenance: The Ron Elam Collection of Local Yesterdays.

A collection of various photographs, the majority relating to London, including three mounted photographs advertising Edwardes Furniture Depository of Clapham Junction, 25cm x 35.5cm and larger, a view of Hammersmith fire station 18cm x 27cm, an albumen-print cabinet card ‘Lambeth Palace from Suspension Bridge’, 12.5cm x 19cm, views of shopfronts and two showing the fleet of Arding & Hobbs Ltd vehicles from Clapham Junction 35.5cm x 42cm. PHOTOGRAPHS. Six leather-bound albums containing approximately 90 mounted photographs, each album titled ‘South Eastern Railway Session 1898…’, leaves 31.5cm x 31.5cm, comprising Books 4, 4a, 6, 7, 10, and 11, showing properties acquired for the widening of the railways. A collection of approximately 53 directories, guides and books, the majority relating to London, including Kelly’s Directory of Kensington 1899, Kelly’s Directory of Chelsea 1902, Kelly’s Directory of Kilburn 1904, Kelly’s Directory of Notting Hill &c 1910, Kelly’s Directory of Balham and Tooting 1925, Kelly’s Directory of Richmond, Kew, Petersham & Ham 1929 and Kelly’s Directory of Wandsworth 1933.
