An early 18th century miniature toy silver tea and coffee service, comprising teapot and cover, spirit kettle and stand with burner, coffee pot, milk jug and cover, shaped square tray, pair of tea caddies and covers, sugar bowl and cover, slop bowl and twelve teabowls and saucers, London circa 1725 by David Clayton, each piece with 'DC' maker's mark, total weight 238.7g, height of teapot 4.1cm, width of tray 9.3cm. Provenance: the private collection of the late Guy and Sylvia Watkins, purchased from London silver dealer David Bilby in 1992.
