Note: William Gibbs is a recorded London clockmaker working between 1730 and 1766.

A late19th/early 20th century gilt brass and alabaster portico mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a bell via an outside countwheel, the white enamelled dial with black Arabic hour numerals and floral garlands, the drum shaped case with a two dove, torch and quiver surmount above urn finials, floral festoons and a figure of Cupid framed by four turned columns, on a breakfront base and toupie feet, height 39cm, with mask and sunburst pendulum.
